“People often say that motivation
doesn’t last.
Well neither does bathing – that’s why
we recommend it daily!.” – Zig Ziglar
Staying motivated can be extremely
difficult for adults in BJJ, and
even harder for children.
Unlike the local “Take My Dough”
and “McDojo’s” that are on every
street corner, BJJ schools
(at least the good ones) do not
hand out belts and stripes.
They are only earned through hard work
and dedication.
With BJJ being a performance based sport
and promotions being so spread out,
many children can lose motivation
to continue training.
Due to this, I am constantly looking
for new ways to keep my students motivated.
I just had my entire Competition Team
watch this video before they competed at
Grapplers Quest this past weekend.
Every single one of the medaled.
